Melbourne Water

We are engaged by Melbourne Water on an on-going basis as consultants; working closely with them on vehicle design and overseeing the entire build process inclusive of Quality Assurance and compliance. An example of this service includes advice on a specific towbar design to suit the operational requirements and ensuring the body builder provides an outcome to the expected standards and quality.

Bloomfield Livestock

Boosting Livestock Transport Efficiency with Bloomfield LivestocK

When Colin Bloomfield set out to reduce truck movements, cut operational costs, and address the challenges of driver shortages, he partnered with BTT Engineering — and the results speak for themselves.

With our expert support, Bloomfield Livestock Pty Ltd is now proudly accredited under the LRTAV High Productivity Livestock Vehicle (HPLV) Scheme!

“It’s saved me a lot of headaches... dealing with BTT has been very good – Paul always answers the phone and Sharon’s easy to talk to,”

Plant Access

How BTT Engineering Helped Plant Access Unlock Heavy Vehicle Access and Boost Fleet Productivity

With BTT Engineering’s support, Plant Access continues to lead the way in green life logistics with a future-proof, efficient, and compliant transport operation. As their business grows, our team remains a trusted partner—ready to assist with everything from PBS vehicle optimisation to transport compliance training.

“You can pick up the phone and call someone and you get an answer straight away.”

AMK Container Services

How AMK Container Services Scaled Up with PBS Approvals and A-Doubles

Rather than overhaul its entire fleet, AMK partnered with BTT Engineering to unlock smarter, cost-effective compliance solutions. The result? Greater payloads, upskilled drivers, and major productivity gains—all without starting from scratch.

“One of the best parts was upskilling our current team—guys who used to run B-doubles now run A-doubles. That means we get more volume out without increasing headcount.”

Palm Trans

How Palm Trans Optimised Their Linehaul Network with PBS Design and Approvals

After receiving strong recommendations from industry peers, PalmTrans engaged BTT Engineering to provide end-to-end support with Performance-Based Standards (PBS) approvals and combination optimisation.

BTT worked closely with the PalmTrans team to reverse engineer and design PBS-approved A-trailers that integrated seamlessly with their existing equipment. They also developed and certified 27-metre B-double combinations tailored for PalmTrans’ conventional Kenworth trucks, and engineered PBS-compliant B-triple combinations specifically for the Melbourne to Sydney linehaul route.

“They helped us get the design right from day one and ensured we stayed on track throughout the approval process.”

RKM Transport

How RKM Transport Scaled Fast Using B-Triples

With a fleet of Kenworth 909s, Monty Transport runs B-doubles and B-triples to deliver high-density liquid feed products. But with work rapidly increasing, Rod needed a smarter solution to meet demand—especially in the face of a tightening driver shortage.

“The main challenge we’re having is the speed of growth. We’re growing pretty quick. We just needed to move more freight with less drivers.”

B-triples offered the best solution, enabling a 56-tonne payload versus 40 tonnes in a standard B-double.

Sahib Transport

Sahib Transport’s Success with BTT Engineering and High-Capacity Combinations

When Sahib Transport needed access to PBS permits and special route approvals, they partnered with BTT Engineering for expert guidance on selecting the most effective vehicle combinations. BTT supported them with PBS-compliant design, permit access for B-triples and road trains, NHVR accreditation assistance, and ongoing fleet compliance advice. Their tailored approach ensured Sahib Transport could operate efficiently and confidently across long-haul routes.

“BTT helped us work out the combinations we needed for special permits and advised us what would work best.”

Maher’s Transport

How BTT Engineering Helped Maher’s Transport Maximise Payloads, Simplify Permits & Strengthen Compliance

Maher’s Transport engaged BTT Engineering for expert support with PBS approvals, heavy vehicle permits, and regulatory compliance. Working alongside multiple trailer manufacturers, BTT helped optimise axle spacing, trailer configurations, and network compatibility to ensure Maher’s Transport’s combinations met both productivity goals and PBS requirements. They handled the design approvals, managed the permit process, and even provided pre-permit route assessments—giving Maher’s Transport the confidence to move forward without costly guesswork.

“They’d tell us straight up—yes, that one will go through, or no, we had a knock-back on that last week. That kind of insight saved us thousands.”
