BTT Engineering is taking on The Push-Up Challenge!

The BTT Engineering team is taking part in The Push-Up Challenge in a bid to raise money and awareness for mental health.  It's a great cause and since its inauguration in 2017 the event has managed to raise $16 million for mental health and suicide prevention in Australia. Did you know that over 46% of workers in the transport industry experience a mental health condition, and nearly one in five of them believe their work is to blame? For truck drivers under 39, suicide is the second leading cause of death.

The Push-Up Challenge has participants completing 3,139 push-ups over 24 days and it kicks off on June 1st. This might seem impossible for some, however the event themselves state: “Sounds like too many push-ups? No probs, alternatives to push-ups are allowed and many people take on 25%, 50%, or 75% of the target instead of the full 3,139.”

While we at BTT Engineering claim to have a bit of brainpower, for some of us physical power isn’t anything to write home about! We have created a community to encourage our associates to sign-up a team and participate in this year's challenge: (https://www.thepushupchallenge.com.au/fundraisers/bustrucktrailercommunityaustralia). We would love to take on other businesses within our industry and see who can come out on top. If you are concerned about the state of your arms and don't want to sign up, a donation to the BTT team’s fundraiser page would be appreciated.
