RVSA Implementation Period Extended

The RVS transitional period has been extended by 12 months to allow manufacturers more time to comply with the new requirements. Under the current arrangement, the transitional period will allow vehicles approved under the Motor Vehicle Standards Act 1989 to continue to be supplied under that legislation until 30 June 2023.

This is important for light trailer manufacturers who have more time to get their compliance and QMS documentation in place. We still strongly recommend that this is addressed as soon as possible because design changes may be required if current models are found to be non-compliant, resulting in a rush to fix things up before the deadline.
