January Testing

It might only be January but the team at BTT Engineering Consulting, particularly one of our engineers Damir Marusic, have been working overtime completing over 20 tests on a number of seat models for one of our clients. Some tests involve as many as 8 linear actuators all simultaneously applying forces in different locations on the test jig, while others involve drop testing and even ensuring that a folding seat’s action both operates satisfactorily while also not making too much noise while folding! Thankfully our VBOX 3i has 12 channels available which allow us to apply and control these loads individually while multiple channels run concurrently. Our testing jigs have all been manufactured, ready for testing to begin once the seat nuts arrive – here are some photos showing a few of the configurations for testing. We would like to thank Carli Engineering for their assistance with the jig manufacturing as well.
